Mrs Shah is treating me for a cataract and glaucoma. On Monday 26th June she removed the cataract and inserted in implant both in my right eye. The implant is to reduce the pressure in the eye. The operation was carried out with great skill and she was ably supported by a great theatre team. At the clinic on Wednesday she continued to give professional and caring advice. I cannot think that she could improve on what, to me, is professional perfection.

This was my first visit to Yeovil hospital, and I was totally impressed by the professionalism and care given to me throughout my appointment at the Ophthalmologist department. From the nurse that took my details, through to the nurses that ran the scanning machines and the consultation with the doctor, everything was explained and nothing was rushed or too much trouble. They all worked as a team. The doctor, Mrs Shah, was very thorough and requested eye scans were repeated and extra eye photography was taken to ensure she had all the information she needed. Mrs Shah reassured me, was very gentle and maintained a caring and human touch. I am naturally very apprehensive about eye examinations, but will have no reservations or worry when my repeat visit is due next year. Many thanks.
