Miss Gumma is a wonderful lady, she explains things in great detail and doesn't pussy foot about. If there are concerns with your health she doesn't mess around, I have had her care for 3 years resulting in a hysterectomy a few weeks ago to prevent benign tumours becoming cancerous as the factors were stacked against me. The level of care in the clinic and on the ward was exceptional, and I cannot thank them enough. She is so down to earth and makes you feel like a family member rather than a patient, her sense of humour is brilliant! And she always listens to your opinions and concerns, only doing what you want her to do, she never rushes an appointment making sure you are happy with any queries or worries you may have. She has a very caring and compassionate nature that is never patronising, unlike some G.P.'s and I would recommend that any one needing to see a Gynaecologist ...please request her she has an awesome way of allaying your fears..... Miss Gumma will always be my hero, THANKYOU is a small word that means so much.

Miss Gumma is very kind, professional, knowledgeable, takes time to listen and is easy to talk to. Unlike other doctors I have seen she does not rush you and answers all questions you have fully but in a way that you can understand. I was operated (TAH & BSO) on by Miss Gumma in January 2015 at the Ramsay Fitzwilliam Peterborough. Her care and compassion and the time she gave to me were fantastic. Having had other procedures which had not solved my problems I was nervous and needed reassurance that such a major operation was the right way forward. I wish that I had seen her years ago with my problems, rather than the other consultants I saw as I believe my problems would have been sorted much sooner under Miss Gumma. I liked the fact that she gave me the phone number and email details for her secretary at my initial appointment, saying that I could call if I had any further questions at any time. Due to having a detached retina prior to my initial operation date my operation with Miss Gumma had to be delayed, this was a concern to me but the hospital and Miss Gumma re-assured me and sorted out a new date for me with no problem. Her secretary at the Fitzwilliam was regularly in contact with me during this time and this provided me with much needed reassurance at that time and I really appreciated the personal touch from Miss Gumma and her team. The hospital were brilliant from start to finish. The rooms very relaxing and the care from the nurses was faultless. Everyone was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very nice and my husband was able to have lunch with me for the 3 days I was in the hospital which I thought was lovely as it meant we could spend more time together. I very highly recommend Miss Gumma and the hospital, I could not have had better care before, during and after my operation. Thank you to everyone that had a hand in my care at the hospital and particularly thank you to Miss Gumma for taking such good care of me.

I was recommended to see Miss Gumma by someone who had professional experience of her and her skills. At the time of my referral I was extremely and I stress extemely nervous about what was actually a very small procedure. Miss Gumma spent time listening to me waffle on then gently pointed out that really the operation did need doing. I felt much better after talking to her on my initial consultation. The day I went to the Fitzwilliam Hospital for the procedure, which thankfully was scheduled first of the day, she came to see me before the operation and again afterwards. Was absolutely clear in explanations and instructions what to do when at home and punctilious in making sure home support was satsifactory. The entire experience in the hospital could not be faulted at all either on the day or when I went to have pre-op tests done. All the staff were fine, not rushed, or if they were did not show it, facilities immaculate and a choice of refreshments was available. My follow up appointment was much less stressful! I cannot say how much difference Miss Gumma's approach and attitude made to me and it gave me confidence. A very very good surgeon and a friendly and approachable person.

Excellent personal care truly professional with a positive can do approach. A lovely warm positive genuine person who gives kind smiles which instantly put you at ease. You know you can totally trust putting your wellbeing in her hands. Can not praise highly enough. I first met Ms Gumma around the summer of 2014 I was suffering with heavy periods and a pain in my side which at times was overwhelming. I had a coil incorrectly fitted a year and a half earlier which had resulted in a womb infection I was unaware of which due to it been untreated became pelvis inflammatory disease. I had a scan which showed hydrosapinx (fluid on the fallopian tube) and a swollen ovary. When I first met Ms Gumma I was very concerned as we had been trying for a second baby for a year and was aware that pelvis inflammatory disease can prevent pregnancy but I was also petrified that it was something more sinister so for myself my husband and my family this was a very stressful time. My sister was in remission of stage 2 falliopan tube cancer. Ms Gumma was excellent completely understanding and caring she took time to explain the treatment of pelvis inflammatory disease and the options I had and what I really appreciate was that she took my concerns about falliopian tube cancer seriously due to the closeness of my sister and her condition and my fear I may have the same she took time to ensure I understood that it was not linked genetically and explained the odds of such a rare type of cancer to be possibly be linked to me. However she did not brush my fears aside and explained each stage thoroughly and the choices I had she helped me understand that when you are scared or in pain you can make rash decisions. Ms Gumma ensured I had her secretary number which proved invaluable as when I left and talked and thought through my decision I wanted to change it so I was able to ring and make another appointment so I was able to sleep that night! After more strong antibiotics and a positive scan with no pain and lighter periods I was in a totally different place mentally and physically and a laparoscopy and biopsy was looking like it was unnecessary however thankfully due to Ms Gumma's thoroughness I was still offered a laparoscopy. The care in surgery was excellent again I was listened to regarding an allergy to bandages and tape and therefore healing time was very quick. The treatment proved its worth as she found I had endometriosis which she treated and I am now nearly three months pregnant! I will always be sincerely grateful for Ms Gumma with the treatment and now pregnancy but also the way she helped me deal with an extremely stressful time in my life and turned it into a positive experience. This is the lady you need in your time in need. Thank you Ms Gumma.

I would highly recommend Miss Gumma and a feel grateful that my GP referred me to her when I needed a hysterectomy. She was very reassuring and did an excellent job allowing me to make a good recovery. I also particularly like that she remembers even the smallest detail about me and my family and showed how much of a caring person she is.
