My mum fell down on Thursday morning. I called the paramedics who blue lighted us to MK ED. I was so scared for her. When we arrived about 12 people were waiting around a bed for her arrival and then I saw Dr.Behnam and was so relieved as mum had seen him before through appointments after a TIA. Him and his team were absolutely fantastic. He was supportive of them but also keen on the need for speed. After 2 urgent CT scans he identified a massive stroke and a blood clot on the brain. He said he would contact john Radcliffe for a procedure to remove the clot. Within minutes we were blue lighted to JR...again..met on arrival straight away and she went straight in for this miraculous procedure. Mum could not move, focus, speak, stay awake....we thought it was her day :( As she has COPD they explained they would have to do it without anaesthetic but they still took the chance on her. 35 mins later I was told she was out. Such a relief and the procedure went well. After a day in JR and seeing her so poorly we waited for her transfer back to MK today and when we saw her and she said 'hiya' they were the best words we have ever heard. A total opposite to 24 hours before. They all literally saved her life from MK ED and Dr Behnam sending her with speed to JR and the geniuses at JR. So so grateful

I cannot praise Dr Behnam highly enough. Following a TIA or mini stroke I saw Dr Behnam who treated me with kindness, care, patience and understanding. He telephoned me when I rang his secretary having had no response from my own doctor. He arranged various tests and a follow up appointment and also arranged for a lovely stroke association lady to call and see me. I now have a further follow up appointment with Dr Behnam. Everybody I have seen following this stroke, for tests at the hospital, when I got lost in the hospital!, etc, have showed me kindness and understanding and I think they should be recognised for their excellent care, along with Dr Behnam. Thank you. Margaret Cox. Hospital number MRN: 371165

Very pleased with the care I received, from Dr Behnam is a kind and courteous man, put me at ease, and listened to what I had to say and explained everything to me.

I would highly recommend Dr Behnam. I had an appointment as I was having falls and passing out, and he was very worried as he found my tummy enlarged so sent me directly to MK Hospital, which I was later transferred to Northampton with suspected Ovarian Cancer. I didn't have cancer but a very large mass which was removed and at 75 years old it is through Dr Behnam that I have a new lease of life.
