A friend highly recommended Dr Ghura as she had some problems with skin issues. I had to see Dr Ghura for diagnosis on some blisters that appeared on my nose and an area that I assumed was a skin tag. Dr Ghura was pleasant and knowledgeable and explained that all 3 areas were solar keratosis and benign... all from sun damage. I had spent 24 years working outside - not abroad - but in the UK, I didn't wear a hat and only occasionally wore sun cream on my face. Treatment was with a chemotherapy cream over a month. The blisters responded to this treatment ..the other area did not. Subsequently I had to have a small operation to remove this Solar keratosis. This procedure was performed under local anaesthetic at The Alexander Hospital, by Dr Ghura. I was nervous because the remaining solar keratosis was at the side of the bridge of my nose and near my eye. Dr Ghura removed the solar keratosis so quickly..from start to finish the procedure took only 9 mins! I didn't feel any pain, the nursing staff present were wonderful and so kind, and Dr Ghura closed the area with stitches. I had worried unnecessarily. Dr Ghura explained what I needed to do following the surgery, what the likely after effects could be..black eyes, soreness etc, I did have a slight black eye, but no soreness. I religiously followed his after-op instructions and a week later the stitches were removed. After another two weeks the wound had totally healed and now you cannot see where the incision was made. Amazing! I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Ghura. And yes, I now apply Factor 50 especially on my face, and always in sunshine, rainy or cloudy weather. Plus a hat and sunglasses when necessary. I've learnt my lesson. So please, do not be worried re an op like this, you are under the care of a great man.

After being diagnosed with a form of skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma) Dr Vindy Ghura was recommended to me from my GP as one of the leading consultants in treating this condition in the North West. Although it's one of the least dangerous skin cancers, it was still quite a daunting experience being diagnosed. From the first consultation, Dr Ghura was reassuring in his explanation of what the options were and how the process would unfold. The procedure itself went smoothly and the scar has healed incredibly well. The whole process went far, far smoother than I ever imagined and I would not hesitate in recommending Dr Ghura to anyone who is diagnosed with the same condition.

An excellent surgeon. Highly recommended for removal of skin cancers, particularly in areas of high visibility where scarring is a concern.

Dr Ghura was at all times reassuring and friendly, carefully talking me through the procedure beforehand and answering all my questions. The operation itself was painless and I was in the hospital for just a couple of hours, mostly awaiting the lab results. The operation itself took no more than 30 minutes. At all times he engaged with me in a friendly way, explaining precisely what he was doing. The various nurses were also helpful and friendly. I was, as expected, left with a bruised and bandaged nose and I wasn't able to wear my spectacles until the dressing had been removed. It was painful for a day or so once the anesthetic wore off but it healed up remarkably quickly once the bandaging had been removed and especially after the stitches had been taken out. I, of course, had to be careful at all times not to knock my nose but generally I was only restricted from doing any heavy sport. Within a month or so you could barely see the scar at all and now that I have had the final all-clear I'm told it is impossible to see the stitch marks. Dr Guhra did a remarkable job and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
