Not impressed, wears his mask below his nose when speaking to patients on the ward. The diagnosis given to me on my discharge documents did not reflect the conversation I had with him on the ward and I am still waiting for the "urgent" follow up tests he requested over three months ago.

Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr Sanjay Gupta if you require a consultation/treatment with a cardiologist. After the feeling of going round in circles, taking 2 steps forward and 5 steps back, I was recommended to see Dr Gupta at the Nuffield Hospital in York. This was the best recommendation that has ever been made to me. It was a breath of fresh air to have a consultation with such a knowledgeable and competent doctor, who fully understood my symptoms and was able to explain to me so well exactly why I felt as I do. As a teacher myself, I know that it isn't always easy to put such complex ideas into such understandable terms, but Dr Gupta did it with excellence. He also answered all questions that I and my husband had and then put a plan of action into place. I will be eternally grateful to Dr Gupta for providing me with the answers that I have fought to find for more than a year. He gave me hope of getting my life back, and even if the improvement turns out to be small, it is a gift I will always treasure. I really can't thank Dr Gupta enough. If you are considering a private consultation with a cardiologist, your money can't be any better spent than on a consultation with Dr Gupta.

I recently had a cardiology review with Dr Gupta and I was very impressed by his professionalism and his interest in my general wellbeing. He listened carefully, asked probing questions and holistically considered my overall state of health. For me this led to a greater understanding of the need to take or reduce certain medications which has already resulted in an improvement in my condition. Dr Gupta is very well read and up-to-date on current research which is very reassuring.
