Can't fault this doctor in anyway , he will talk you through the procedure and re- assure you in every way, I felt as if I was in capable hands all the way and would like to thank this doctor and wish him him all the best for the future .

Dr Chamberlain-Webber inserted two stents in my heart and the procedure went very smoothly. He was attentive when he was with me and answered all my questions. The rest of the cardiac team obviously held him in high esteem and I had every confidence in his ability to perform the procedure. My criticisms would be in that, despite sending a letter to say if I had any questions before going in to contact him, he was unavailable to talk on the telephone and his secretary gave me the impression it was highly unusual to ever suggest talking to him! Unfortunately I had to be re-admitted a couple of days after the procedure (they believe my arteries were spasming due to the insertion of the stents, giving rise to chest pain) and, despite being in the hospital at the time, he did not come and review me which I thought he would want to do, having performed the procedure only a couple of days previously. He did see me in his clinic several weeks later as my recovery had not been quite as smooth as expected and was very understanding and reassuring. Unfortunately. I think the communication deficiencies probably stem from the huge time pressures doctors are under in the NHS. However, when you are facing a scary time, especially at a much younger age than you would expect to, I believe that accessibility to the person who is going to be digging around in your heart in order to have all questions answered is vital. When I saw him in his clinic he did comment that doctors did not perhaps think enough about the impact such procedures can have psychologically, particularly on younger patients who have ended up needing intervention through no fault of their own. I hope he now bears that in mind! Despite my communication criticisms, I would have no hesitation in recommending him for angiograms and angioplasty.

Dr Chamberlain-Webber treated my wife and although at times he was very busy, he listened to her many questions and answered all of them in order to comfort her. The only area of disappointment was that he was not contactable by telephone despite his letters asking us to call with any questions.

Dr Chamberlain-Webber is a charming kindly looking man with a good reputation according to other members of the cardiac team.I trust him and felt very much better when I knew that he was going to carry out my second angiogram, this is said with no disrespect to the Doctor who performed the procedure the first time as he knew what he was doing but hurt me a little more and caused my heart to palpitate at one stage which was most unpleasant, this did not occur when Dr Chamberlain-Webber performed the procedure and he talked me through the whole thing which is always a good thing.I would definately recommend him to other patients. The reason that I have only given four stars for the second question is that although I am pretty sure that he was listening to me,you can never be a hundred percent certain of that.
