I cannot thank Dr Lepping enough for how he has helped my partner. When mental illness hits with full force he is definately the person you would want to be there. He didn't just look after my partner he took interest in me too and got me the help that I desperately needed. He listens and takes time to understand both of our needs. I would highly recommend him and I am extremely grateful to him for everything he has done for us as I don't think my partner would be here without his care.
When I met with Dr Lepping I was in the middle of a crisis but he just seemed unsympathetic and impatient to me. I did not feel like a patient, more like a number or maybe just a diagnosis.
Dr Lepping is a caring and thoughtful psychiatrist who is motivated to help people who have some of the most challenging and distressing conditions. Many colleagues try to avoid seeing these patients because they are often extremely critical, to the point of being abusive in some cases, especially when they lack insight in early stages of their condition. I have worked with Dr Lepping in joint clinics for two years now and always listens with an open mind to patients' histories and takes time to consider and carefully explain different treatment options.
I can only say the very best about Prof Lepping who has helped me a lot in a difficult situation in my life when I was struggling with a serious illness. He listened to me and we discussed treatment choices together. He seemed to really understand my problems. He works well with the rest of the mental health team and I can't praise them enough for their efforts to get me back on track.
Very opinionated man who does not show an ounce of humility or empathy with his patients! Likes to threaten sections and court orders though, not every caring for a psychiatrist eh?
Locking people up who have mental health problems is not always the way, he should learn some humility and learn how to care! Mentally ill people are human beings!
