I saw this GP for a joint injection, it was totally painless, he was able to make me feel at ease and afterwards I wondered why I'd been so nervous.

I received a vaccination on 9th November 2018 & second dose was administered to-day (16th November 2018). I was charged by the nurse the fee set by the practice. I am the Carer for my mother who, born in India, has natural immunity for conditions I am more susceptible to. She takes therapeutic pleasure from trips to Pakistan & I accompany her having become accustomed to the changed conditions. The question I have, is, should the Carer travelling abroad for the welfare of this patient, expect to pay for the vaccination that ensures the wellbeing of the Carers ability to care & gives the patient less anxiety for their safeguarding. I don't know how I would answer this, although I feel that this type of Social (Green) prescription does significantly reduce hospital admissions & importantly, diminishes severity, onset & new mental illness / disorder, risk, (Stanford University study 2015). Would I be expected to meet future costs myself ?

He's one of the best GPs I've ever met. He gives time when time is needed, his expertise is tremendous, most of all, he states it clearly when something is outside his expertise and another opinion is appropriate. If only all GPs were like Nigel Bew, we'd all feel better cared for and more trusting in our GPs - I just dread the day he retires - I hope the others in the practice have learnt from him - if not I'll be going elsewhere. Nigel - you've led the practice so well, with so much care and consideration, please don't retire until they've all learnt to emulate you.

Superb treatment yesterday. From the moment I walked through the door the doctor explained everything to me and the cause of the skin lesions I have. I was amazed how professional the doctor was and how quick he completed the treatment whilst doing a very neat job. I just wish I would have seen Dr Bew first because I did not have a very good experience in a different clinic with a different doctor when nothing was explained to me and left my leg looking a mess. Street lane practise was amazing from start to finish and highly recommend them. Thanks so much. Carl.
