While it took some time to build trust and an awareness for Dr.Craig's approach , I do feel that he is a great doctor/psych to try if the "old world" psychiatrists are not working out for you. Specifically, as Dr.Craig does cutting edge research , he is a great advisor on what methods/medicines (based on the research) may work for you and/or which ones are not giving you the intended results. I must admit that at certain times I was disappointed in certain treatments not working and Dr.Craig pivoting - but this ultimately allowed us to find something that did work. It is also important to distinguish between a therapist/psychologist and a psychiatrist . Dr.Craig is very limited on time , and will not necessarily make you "feel" better every session through chit-chat, but he will make every effort to understand your condition and give you the best medication/methods he knows. Dr.Craig may need your help (at times) to refocus on the moods and histories that matter most to you. By virtue of Dr.Craig trying to help as many people as he can, (going from appointment to appointment) , it is almost impossible to read through all the notes before every meeting. I appreciate this may be frustrating for the patient, but if you prepare for each meeting (with good questions and points of concern), Dr.Craig will very precisely answer you - frequently with very insightful and helpful information. Lastly, I would say Dr.Craig has also made himself available at all the crucial times when I have needed him (i.e. medication/mood changes over Christmas holidays , forgetting my meds on a holiday ). I have not had any other psychiatrist/doctor that responds to patients on weekends, late nights, or in the middle of global holidays. For me, this was probably one of the most important services (compassion and commitment) that I experienced while with Dr.Craig - he will never leave you out on your own...and that is huge!

I have had nothing but excellent experiences with Doctor Michael Craig. To be honest, I have had to slightly wait when I have my appointments with Michael but that has not soured my opinion of him or his practice in the slightest. I felt very welcomed while I waited and when I saw Michael, I felt that he was attentive, careful and capable and he has earned my complete trust. I have seen Michael for many years and I intend to continue seeing him and I highly recommend him.

Dr Michael Craig was extremely helpful in understanding my ADHD condition and decided very fast the course of action. My quality of life really improved, and the subsequent sessions were quite simple. I really appreciated his advice - definitely recommend!

Aloof. Uncaring. Rude. Just 3 of many words that spring to mind when I reflect on my online consultation with Dr Craig. Communication beforehand was sketchy and he was late for our call, late enough to call his secretary who knew he was with a patient but didn't feel obliged to let me know. I took the consultation with Dr Craig as a gateway to rTMS treatment but rTMS was barely discussed and was if anything downplayed as a source of help for my problems. It felt more like a patient poaching exercise when he talked of obtaining my notes from my usual psychiatrist and scheduling follow-up appointments - definitely not what I had in mind. As with other testimonials, I went through a Q&A exercise, the like of which I'm well versed. These things are never easy, and Dr Craig's impassive countenance certainly didn't help. While he undoubtedly listened, I got the feeling if I'd told him I lived on the moon for a year I'd see the same expressionless face looking back at me. Or maybe he'd interrupt me and call my lunar mission superfluous? And cut me off abruptly - as he did on various occasions. There are good reviews on here, and maybe if you're prepared to endure his obtuse style, he can help. However, it's noticeable how many recent reviews have a similar theme and maybe his heart isn't in it anymore. I won't be hanging around to find out.

Had an ADHD assessment online with Dr Craig, I work for two psychiatrists who carry out ADHD assessments, was hopeful that I was in good hands. He was running 15 minutes late but I didn’t mind as I know things can happen, he then joined the video and sat in silence for the first 5 minutes. Dr Craig didn’t read any of my forms I filled in prior and was asking very basic questions. He was too pre-occupied by typing on his computer and also kept saying “hmm” a lot. He asked me 3 times if I had a partner and on the third time said “oh yes, i’ve already asked you this”. Halfway through the appointment, the doorbell went and he left his desk for 15 minutes to hand out prescriptions to patients. I was sat staring at a chair whilst he was saying through his headset “don’t worry i’m still listening”. It turns out his secretary was in, so he was doing the admin bits himself. The assessment finished within 40 minutes and he said “if you can send me over school reports, i’ll make my mind up whether you have ADHD or not”. I was extremely disappointed and upset after the appointment as I felt I wasted 6 months waiting for the appointment to get nothing. Dr Craig lacked empathy and made rude comments such as “we can all be impulsive and inpatient”. I would definitely not recommend going to Dr Craig for an assessment, you will leave feeling deflated and disappointed.
