Written by a patient at Solihull Hospital
26th February 2015

2 days ago i was advised that the kidney cancer i had removed with a nephrectomy 3 years ago was showing mets in my lung. The Dr i saw was a Urologist so wasnt able to give me much information at that time as he didnt deal with lungs and he was to refer me to a lung specialist. I was booked in for a scan at Solihull hospital this morning for a swollen and painful area around a scar. When i went in it was Dr Djearaman who was doing the scan. He was looking at the previous CT scan that showed the mets. He immediately and kindly put my mind at rest by advising me that he wasnt concerned that there was treatment. I really cannot get across in words what he (and the very kind nurse) did for me this morning. I had thought i was going to die and i was so stressed at how i was going to tell my children. My family were devastated my partner was distraught. I was able to tell them all the good and positive news this afternoon. Thank you thank you thank you Debbie Golding
