The method of getting messages to Dr Cooke between appointments could be improved. I was once told that my phone appointment was upgrade to attend and when I arrived at the McMillan unit she knew nothing about it. I was seen by a registrar and the treatment from him was excellent.

I consider myself very fortunate to work with Dr Cooke and over the past 5 years it has become clear to me that she is driven and focussed on delivering first class patient care. In addition to this, as a colleague, Dr Cooke is supportive, motivational and approachable. It was no surprise that she awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2022 for delivering outstanding care.

Dr Cooke I have seen Dr Cooke for many weekly appointments, she always smiles on greeting ,uses my name and is courteous in all her dealings . She is attractively dressed for a professional woman and always displays energy and enthusiasm for her work which creates a very positive atmosphere.Her team seem to follow her good example! Dr Cooke explains results clearly , describes future plans and gives instruction notes when necessary. She has helped me greatly, and she is , I feel, a great credit to the medical profession.I always get the feeling that she is happy in her place of work and really wants to help.

My mother was diagnosed with myeloma just over a year ago and I have been her regular carer and supported her when visiting the QE hospital whilst she received a number of Consultations. Although I have no complains at the treatment my mother have received from all of the consultants I must say the care and compassion Dr Cooke has demonstrated to both my mother and myself over the last two visit has been nothing short of exemplary. Her explanation of the treatment that my mother will be receiving was clear and concise with all questions being answer satisfactory, not rushed through because of other patients to see. It is clear that Dr Cooke not only want to deliver the correct medical care for her patients but she also wants the make it as easy as possible for the treatment to happen. Thank you.

Dr Cooke took time to explain my condition and probable progress in a very clear & concise way. This enabled me to make a properly informed decision on my continued medication. I did not feel at all rushed during my consultation and was given further advice on other symptomatic side effects which will certainly be of benefit going forward. Have seen many different doctors/consultants during the 10 years of my medical condition. I can honestly say that Dr Cooke provided me with the most informed, straightforward summary I have received during that time. Thank you.
