Dr Walford is totally amazing, I really cannot praise her enough. This is my second Mirena coil fitting with her: She totally puts you at ease, is highly professional and also very friendly. We chatted, the procedure was SO relaxed! I’ll be honest, I shy away from medical procedures and anything to do with health at the best of times. However, it’s so reassuring to know that if I had a health concern (particularly of a feminine nature) I could book in with Dr Walford. Kind, caring, highly efficient and a total asset to Selsdon Park Medical Practice. Dr Walford treats her patients with dignity and respect…… after being so very attentive towards me following the insertion, she came towards me and asked me if I felt ok. Five star service; a doctor who simply cares.

This was a late night appointment. Feel like the dr had little interest in my medical needs and more interested in getting home. To the point we’re I am considering leaving this practice.

I have been a patient at Selsdon Park Medical Practice since I was a teenager; I'm now 37. This practice is first class. If you phone in the morning, you generally get an appointment that day. I have also appreciated how swiftly my 4 year old son has been seen whenever he has been poorly. I saw my own GP in the summer and I asked for advice in relation to contraception. He (Dr Kelvin) was very thorough and suggested that I also book to see Dr Walford who specialises in family planning. Dr Walford is absolutely lovely. Dr Kelvin had given me a website address to look at so that I could make an informed decision prior to my appointment with Dr Walford. Dr Walford completely puts you at ease. She thoroughly explained every option available and took into account my age and personal circumstances. I decided, having looked at the website, and after listening to the doctors, to opt for a Mirena coil. I had this fitted yesterday by Dr Walford. Assisting her was Nicki Gridley who was equally as lovely. Dr Walford explained everything, including after care and various things to expect. This immediately made me feel relaxed and the coil fitting was not as painful as I had expected. I was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend Dr Walford.
