I can not find the right words to express how amazing Karen was during my husbands short illness. She listened and went the extra mile to do all she could to help us through the final weeks of my husbands life. I will never forget her kindness, I know we were just one of the many people that pass through her clinics but she made us feel that we were important to her and that is truly an amazing skill. She made a difference to us. A month or so after my husband had passed away Karen took time to see us to go through what had happened to help us understand why everything had happened so fast and this helped my children. Losing their Dad is not something they will ever fully understand but Karen taking the time to sit down and discus it with them did help.

Dr Karen is a doctor who strives to do her very best for her patients. She goes that step further to make sure every avenue is explored. She visited my husband regularly in whichever hospital he was in, and was also concerned about my health, as well. She always picked up on any small change in my husband's condition, and asked to see photos of any new symptoms. In fact, we were very lucky to be treated by this amazing oncologist. My wife was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumour just over a year ago..she was under the care of Karen Foweraker, the most caring and compassionate of people, she had a 7 hour operation to remove the tumour and for 8 months, or so, was back to normal.... inevitably the cancer returned, despite chemo, radio therapy and endless blood tests and medications my beautiful wife lost her tight for life last weekend.. Throughout all of the treatment Karen was our rock..she talked to us, explained things to us, listened to our thoughts and hugged us !! If anyone is unlucky enough to have to go through the processes that we've been through, please ask for Dr. Karen Foweraker to be your consultant...she is, honestly, just the best of people.. She helped me when tears were filling my eyes, like now, just so so kind.......

If more doctors and consultants had the level of empathy and understanding that Dr Foweraker has then the NHS would be a far better service provider. She is an exceptional human being.
