I went to see Dr Heather Patel on Friday 10th July. My symptoms were sudden periods of loss of balance which became very scary. Dr Patel checked my medical history, did a few tests and then very clearly explained what my problem might be. She gave me assuring advice on how to handle it, and some medication to take if I need it. If I have any concerns about this problem I was encouraged to go back. I felt very relieved after my appointment and my problem didnt't seem half as big as when I went in. A genuine interest was taken in me, and I did not feel rushed through despite the doctors huge work load and the long queue in the waiting room. I am always satisfied with the care I get at Capelfield. The only suggestion I will make is to lessen the work load by having more doctors. I am not sure if there is a private waiting room for patients to wait in if they have a particular problem which could get worse and cause distress by sitting in the main waiting room. If there is one, patients should know about it.

Went with a bad cold , was given X-ray and hospital appointments urgently and then diagnosed with lung cancer and treatment started urgently

Dr Patel is always helpful and caring, and her long experience in general practice is invaluable. Because of this she is very popular and not always easy to get an appointment with .

I've had a treatment today which I was a bit apprehensive about. Welcoming, sensitive and caring approach from Dr Patel made all the difference. I'm greatful that I was looked after Dr Patel today.
