My dad had many appointments over months for chronic back pain and was told it was sciatica. He had difficulty walking, was unable to sit and had difficulty sleeping due to the pain. Eventually, during an appointment with another GP, I asked for an MRI scan as we had private health cover. The results showed Prostate Cancer with Bone Metastases!!!! My dad has just been handed a death sentence!!! We have just managed to control his pain with the help of Farleigh Hospice. If you are experiencing symptoms that are concerning you and you feel that nobody is listening or taking you seriously PLEASE don't wait - Trust your judgement and get a second opinion. Good luck.

Dr Wright has helped me through some of my most difficult times in my life, with no judgement. She listened to me regardless of how long the appointment took and gave me sound advice on both a personal and professional level. She is also the only GP who reviewed my sons asthma after 6 years and recommended a different treatment which has resulted in him not having a chest infection in two years.
