I have been under the care of Dr Hollingdale for over one year after a diagnosis with terminal cancer. i trust her implicitly and value her caring professionalism. The confidence I have in her dedication and ability allows me to make the most of opportunities the treatment provides. Perhaps an indicator of my view of Dr Holligdale lies in my ability to afford private health care but I do not believe I could find a better consultant.

Dr Abigail Hollingdale spoke mainly to me and read the notes, which I had made in order to keep track of side effects, with interest. She explained the situation clearly.

Totally different approach from what I have experienced previously in Portsmouth.Her first question was to ask how I was and how I felt. Really impressed with the hospital and staff who don't make you feel like just a number . Thank you

I visited the Oncology Dept on 04/06/15 I was apprehensive and concerned about my prostate cancer diagnosis previous to the visit, but Dr Hollingdale put me at ease and explained my cancer situation fully, also the planning and radiotherapy procedures, this did give great reassurance when getting used to being a cancer sufferer, I felt so much better when leaving like a weight was lifted from the previous 4 weeks after being diagnosed which was a very scary time. My wife attended the visit with me and fully agrees with my comments. All staff at the Oncology Dept were very friendly and helpful which is totally needed with patients and family members when attending these visits.

This Doctor is excellent and caring she says what she thinks and as far as I can see has always told me the the way things should be as far as I can see the only way she could improve the service she gives is to have appointments on time.
