I had gallstones for many years, then developed an umbilical hernia. I had a consultation with Professor Patel. I spoke to him regarding the need to lose weight and inquired about bariatric surgery.He said it would be possible to carry out all the together, so I was booked in for a few weeks later at a mutually agreed time. His secretary, Sandy, was amazing too. emails and follow-up arranged and she liased with my insurance to ensure a smooth run for me. The entire experience was incredible, I would very highly recommend Professor Patel (and his team) for any gastro surgery. He is an amazingly thorough surgeon, informative, caring, attentive, hardworking and easy to understand. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Now a Professor, Mr Ameet Patel and his team at The Princess Grace Hospital were amazing. His secretary kept in regular contact with me, informing of everything from insurance cover to preparing me for my operation. My double surgery went really well (I had my gallbladder removed and a gastric sleeve fitted. The professor visited me every morning and evening to check in on me. The care the nurses gave me was also amazing. My wounds healed well and I feel so much better, for the first time in decades, I feel really good. Thank you so much Prof Patel, I owe you big time!
