Monday morning 08:00 22/05/2023 a Barium meal. Never had one before. Had to fast from 18:30 the previous evening. The lovely Rachael greeted me and explained the procedure. The Appetizer: a small drink of Anti Sickness med. to settle any nerves! Main Course: Ant & Dec watch out for the Bush Tucker drink! One plastic tumbler and one largish bottle of what? Drink it all, Good Sir. I did. Had an essence of Strawberry in a chalky white slightly fizzy shake concoction. Then came the scans at 20 minute intervals I felt totally at ease in her company as she is well qualified. Guess what? I qualified for a bonus 4th scan. The previous patient had the standard 3 scans. Yes, this was 1st service, and treatment. I even received a tea and biscuit during the session. Rachael, you are a Star Player for Radiography and the NHS. I would have no qualms if I have to return! Thank you for an excellent journey.
