I have used this branch before about 2 years ago. I attended my appointment on time and was asked to have a seat in the waiting area but there didn't appear to be one. Had preliminary tests with a young lady who didn't appear totally confident. The Optometrist, Katie was a delight. I was totally satisfied by the consultation with her. I felt confident with her opinion and felt she was thorough and listened to me. After that I was passed onto another person to 'assist' me with my choice of frames. Whilst he was very pleasant, he was young and I couldn't help thinking that really I would have preferred a woman's opinion and as glasses have to be considered a fashion accessory, how would he help me choose? I asked him to leave me and I would make my choice. Two years ago I had a lovely lady to advise me who was more helpful and I enjoyed the experience. After choosing two frames, I presented a £20 promotional voucher. I was told I could use it on my transaction, then I apparently couldn't because basically he didn't understand the wording on the reverse of the coupon - he never referred this to anyone else and by this time I had been there long enough so I didn't pursue the matter. I felt the department was overbooked and it appeared very congested - the area seems much smaller than I remember.
