My first experience of using the Opticians was very disappointing and will certainly be my last. On my first visit (02/04/17) it was 20 minutes after my appointment before I got to see the Optometrist. There was numerous junior staff standing around, but not one of them enquired why I had been waiting. This experience was repeated on my second visit (09/04/17), but on this occasion I was kept waiting even longer. I only got to see the Optometrist after asking why I had been kept waiting 30 minutes. On entering the room, the lady Optometrist said that there wasn't any reason why the staff outside hadn't told her I was waiting as she was only filling out a report. I then had to have my eyes dilated and wait a further 20 minutes. I then enquired if my new glasses were ready and was told they were. I was asked to sit down to see if they fitted and when I said that they felt a little long in the arm the woman took them away to tighten them (her words) and brought them back 20 seconds later and said she had made the adjustment. They certainly didn't feel any better and I can't see how she could made any adjustment in that time. I was struggling to focus by this time and decided to just leave very disappointed. I'm now considering contacting the customer service people at eye care plan and letting them know what level of care their clients receive from Boots.
