The locum optician, during my previous contact lens check up, did not take much notice of my problems with the contact lenses I had been given, despite the concerns I expressed. I was informed that my poor near vision was the best I could expect with the lenses. I attended for my most recent check and the optician, having read my records, instantly identified the fact that I had been issued with the wrong lenses for one eye. I am now waiting for a small supply of alternative trial lenses. Had the error not been identified, I was about to cancel my contract for contact lenses as I was dissatisfied with their usefulness.
