My big problem with this was appointment was the number of letters I got from Boots, telling me to book an appointment, and the fact the online booking system is not fit for purpose. It took me two attempts and even then the wrong time slot was booked meaning I needed to call anyway. Ian also found out that despite the three reminders about my appointment, I wasn't due to visit until March 2017! I should have read the letters more closely, but after 3 reminders I assumed it was urgent. Final moan is about the 'free eyetest' which is only free if you need glasses. I actually felt that I had been exploited when it turned out my prescription was fine and so I needed to pay. If I had known this before my test, I would have got a voucher from my employer, but it is too late now and I am £25 out of pocket. It is clear to me that other customers have been in the same position as two members of staff quoted the same response to me when I asked about the free eye test.
