I was given far more information about my eye health on this appointment than previously which I thought was good. (I've been using Boots Opticians for a long time at various branches as I've moved a number of times for work). I find that every year you seem to have found some way to improve the services on offer. As a national chain it would be useful if you had a more effective system of transferring notes between branches -at my last move 4 years ago I was told it was not possible, this time I was told it could be done by fax which seems to limit what can be sent. As someone who has previously been given an incorrect prescription because of the way the eyes were balanced it would be helpful not to feel the need to explain this each time I change branch (I know the reading of my current lens indicates were the prescription was but I still feel I need to be clear about assessing each eye rather than just ensuring clear vision overall). Also linked to the notes being transferred -your staff would know I have previously used contact lens but had to give up following an eye infection that meant I was no longer able to tolerate them -it's a conversation I get bored repeating. Overall I like the service and consistency provided -otherwise I would have looked for other opticians each time I've re-located instead of continuing to look for my nearest or most accessible branch.
