I shall continue to go to the London Road, Edinburgh, optician whil Patrick is there as he is just right ! But the only thing I hated was the national phone number that came up for booking - despite my finding the actual shop site.......and then they ask all sorts of questions (like family history etc) when I have been attending this shop (when it was Dolland and Aitchison and now Boots) for 30 years......Surely this fact could be on the central computer....? Later I found the direct line and they were MOST helpful when I had to change the time

Icalled the shop a few hours before the appointment to explain that my partner, for whom l had made the appointment, had dementia and that l was not sure how he would cope with the eye test . The girl l spoke to could not have been more helpful and understanding and she said she would make sure that the optometrist was made aware of the situation. The service we received during the eye test and then while selecting frames was outstanding. Again , today when we picked up the glasses we could not have had more efficient , friendly and helpful service. Top marks to the team at London Road.

I have been having my eyes tested there for many years and the staff make the whole procedure a pleasant experience. They are exceedingly helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
