Laylie Oatridge is a Community Urology nurse specialist. I have been qualified as a nurse for 14 years in both the NHS and Private sector. I have experience working with brain and spinal injury patients, haematology and district nursing. As a clinical nurse specialist I have a keen interest in ensuring patients have all the information in order to make a informed decision about their care. I am passionate about patients knowing about new innovative procedures and products, to ensure their care needs are being met to the best possible standard. I support patients in their own homes and in clinics to be as independent as possible, in order to help people to get good quality care. In my role at Hollister, I support patients in the NHS and the private sector with their urology needs. I help support patients to transition from indwelling to ISC catheters where possible, ensuring they have the knowledge to make informed decisions about their care needs.

Laylie is a fantastic urology specialist nurse. I was anticipating self catheterization with some trepidation, but Laylie explained everything clearly and concisely, putting me at total ease. Her instructions were very good and I had no problem following them resulting in an easy, successful self catheterization at the first attempt. She also clearly explained the follow up process, who to contact with any issues and how to obtain further supplies. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending her.

I was not looking forward to this experience but once Laylie arrived I was put at ease at once. She was courteous, professional and fun. She just talked and helped me through the process without me feeling any time pressure. She was great

Laylie and her colleague offered brilliant advice and encouragement on self catheterisation,i was apprehensive but they made everything sound straightforward and answered all of my concerns and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable

Very clear and informative session on self-catheterisation, initially talking and answering questions, followed by the practical, which was simple and painless. Laylie dealt with all the questions and gave explanations clearly and with humour and was reassuring.

Laylie was amazing, I was so worried about the catheter process but she made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. Her training skills are excellent and I was able to use the catheter on the first try. Laylie and her colleague also gave me informative information on the next steps and what to do if I need to order more products and the numbers I can call for support. Very friendly.
