Came in with severe chest pain. The nurse laughed at me and whispered quite loudly to other nurses ‘hahah he thinks he is having a heart attack’. I didn’t. She got extremely angry at me and said this is not a place for you. She tilted her head and said ‘are you going to see a GP then’. A healthcare assistant sent someone with severe chest pain away without any tests. I had myocarditis (heart inflammation). I could have died. As it took 3 weeks to see a GP it was too late. All the bio markers for cardiac problems had gone. I was called anxious and it has developed into dilated cardiomyopathy. A death sentence within 5-10 years. I’m 20. Completely preventable. York hospital is sick. The nurses gang up on you. The doctors do not care one single bit. You will wait 10 hours to be gaslighted in the most cruel way possible. Go to Leeds, Hull or Harrogate, their hospitals are a solid 9-10/10. York is a 0.
