Most of the medical staff in York Hospital were of good standard, but some of the attendants were abrupt and unhelpful. The bathroom was not very clean and the facilities are outdated and in need of upgrading. I was very sick for days after my operation but this was not brought under control. I had practically nothing to eat for 6 days and felt extremely weak, shaky and vulnerable when I was discharged. My surgeon (Mr Chitsabesan) and anaesthetist (Andrew) were both superb, however.
