i have been treated in the past with a respectful service. However my current ailment I have been waiting to see a specialist since September 2017.i have contacted the authority in writhing
I still do not have an appointment with the optical clinic having been waiting for over 12 months. My left eye is the problem and now have no vision in it what so ever.
The worrying thing is I was diagnosed with type diabetes 12 months a go and the eye examine for this showed damage in the other eye. I have a fear I will loose my complete sight
There seems to be a 4;year waiting list as they classify me as non critical. I am wondering what it takes to be 1 recognised as a need for be seen to 2 do you have to go blind first before you get an appointment. This department in the Hospital is the worst I have experienced. It is a great shame that othe clinics are being let down by this one department. God help us in the future we could have a population of blind people if this is to go on
