I was referred to the maelor by my doctor with an absyss under my arm which was meant to be drained and investigated as the lump is hard and doctor was concerned this was on a Thursday I got to the hospital and was shown to ward quickly nurses on ward were very sweet but clearly understaffed as they asked me if I wanted pain relief when I was admitted as was never given a surgeon came to see me and I was prepped for surgery then was told an emergency had come in and would be seen later to in day so still no liquids not even water they left me from midday till 8 at night and then told me I wouldn't be seen too I could go home an come back for 7 30 next morning which I did being advised not to drink after midnight the night prior I arrived for 7 30 was prepped at 10am taken actually down to theatre and then wheeled out for an emergency an I would be seen later in day but still not to drink again they left me untill 8 30 that night and told me they couldn't do it and as it was weekend to come back Monday morning I said how disgusted I was as I was dehydrated and had banging headache he asked to look at my arm and then told me I now had cellulitis in it also so antibiotics were needed I said on Monday will this happen again he said they can't unfortunately see the future so if an emergency comes in yes....I am so upset and disappointed I am home now and will return Monday morning but I think it is disgusting that they have left me I am in pain but just because I'm not writhing around on the floor I feel like I have just been left and maybe Monday this will all happen again!!!
