I attended Southland's Hospital for a hysteroscopy & biopsies on 26th January. I wanted to firstly congratulate & thank the staff for their superbly supportive and empathic care. Secondly, comment that the standards of cleanliness was excellent.
All staff were helpful and despite being busy, presented as interested & commited to the well-being of their patients.
Thirdly, I was petrified and almost chickened out and requested a general, but the staff put me at ease and the procedure was ok. The discomfort was made tolerable by the local anaesthetic. If anyone has to experience this procedure, please be reassured the staff will care for you as if you were their only patient and it is much easier than the biopsies in the fast response clinic with no local anaesthetic!
