I visited a@e Worthing on Saturday 8 October with a knee injury I was in and out within one hour.excellant treatment by very friendly staff who were extremely busy.I can't praise them enough based on my visit I could not find anything that would have improved my visit.
Completely different experience at Worthing Hospital compared to the previous one where I gave birth. All the staff I encountered were kind, professional and empathetic - exactly what I needed. Genuinely can't thank you all enough - the best doctors and midwives I could have wished for.
I was in A&E and then CDU. I am not surprised the hospital has been rated as outstanding by the CQC. The staff are amazing. There was a sense of order and patient centred teamwork. I was offered food and drink regularly. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would like to thank all on the Downlands Suite that looked after me on Monday 1st / Tuesday 2nd August 2016.
Goring Hall let me down with a 5 day rule on admission that almost meant that the operation (gall bladder removal) would not happen.
Worthing Hospital Private patients unit with the help of Mr Sayegh (Surgeon) & Marie stepped in at short notice & all were fantastic.
Best regards
Mr Mark Healey
Wait time was 3 hours yet there was only 4 people when we arrived. The doctor would call a name that had left then would disappear for half an hour before appearing and calling a different name. Cushy job
I stayed overnight at Worthing Hospital last weekend after eye muscle surgery. The staff were very kind and professional during my recovery. I have dietary restrictions (no animal products) and the staff were surprisingly knowledgeable and accommodating, and even made sure I had soya milk for my tea and dairy-free biscuits. I was very impressed and pleased.
I have been supported at this hospital through two pregnancies. Both unfortunately were complicated but I received excellent care from many different services from start to finish. Both resulted in me requiring screening and referring to specialist units. The antenatal team were caring and supportive, professional and approachable to discuss any questions. I found both the antenatal team and radiography department friendly but also caring whilst delivering bad news which I think is such a challenging skill.
The teams were as on time as they could be with pressures but I never felt rushed through appointments, always enough time.
Through both an emergency and planned c-sections I felt supported, respected and received a skilled and professional level of care. The ward staff on Bramber were at time exceptionally busy but once again caring and supportive, especially encouraging but not judging regarding breastfeeding. Having experienced two children with tongue ties, my first waited 6 weeks and 2nd 4days (May 2016) to be addressed. I am very grateful for this service being available at Worthing but even more staff should be trained to assess and treat this condition on the ward, to help further chance of breastfeeding. Overall, I couldn't ask for better care, both emergency and planned. Thank you.
I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the treatment even though there were many patients in attendance at a&e at the time.
Waited about 4 hrs in the evening to be seen by a doctor with no indication whatsoever of how long one would have to wait. The receptionist was lovely, the radiologist was lovely and the doctor was lovely but the wait was excruciatingly painful and didn't get away till about 2.30am after about 5 hours there.
the waiting time and the patients safety
