Review of Talking Therapies
4th June 2024

Very helpful person on calls but the talking therapies process itself for my situation has just amplified my stress levels by the process of reflecting constantly on a negative situation and I’m have been feeling more powerless in solving it . The burden of paperwork is distracting from job applications and is making me feel even more isolated in my own head which isn’t a good place to be. Hoping people on mental health activities I see now is what I need to help be around supportive people and not stuck in my home filling out journal entries and tables of to do lists alongside my job hunting. It’s all been too much

Suggested improvements
Don’t think talking therapies has helped. Meditation apps good for acute stress events but endless stuff online has been totally wrong for me as above. I am feeling drowning in trying to solve my problem when talking therapies has been forcing me to accept it

[name removed] was brilliant. He was really patient, listened well, empathetic and reassuring. Probably one of the best physios I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a lot!!!). Also was nice to have the option to have appointments after work which is rare nowadays.

Review of Talking Therapies
4th June 2024

We seemed to cover many things during the 30 minute phone call and I’ve been given “tasks” to do before our next phone session on 28th June. I definitely can see the reasons for the “tasks” but one, externally focus for 10 minutes, I’m finding very difficult to achieve for more than 2-3 minutes; my mind starts to stray to other things but I’ll keep trying. One thing that has become obvious to me is that I try to be all things to all people and I need to back off trying always to oblige even if I doesn’t feel comfortable.

Suggested improvements
Nothing, everything discussed seems relevant in some way even if there appears much to do and try.
