I had a lung cancer diagnosis in January 2013, I was told by a consultant at this hospital that there was not much hope but we would try some chemotherapy, when I asked about radiotherapy as well he said no I don't think so but we will try some perhaps later on, but definitely too late for any surgery. I left this place that day and went to Guys hospital in London, they did lay it on the line, this tumor was stage 3b but, " the way forward with this cancer is chemotherapy and radiotherapy together, very aggressive treatment but statistics show increasing success also depending on the success of the treatment an surgery would be possible and it would give me the best possible chance of a full recovery!! I had chemotherapy along with radiotherapy and a lobectomy in October 2013 and I am now 2 years out of treatment with7 clear ct scans behind me, Take my advice and if you are seriously I'll get as far away from this place as you possibly can, if I had stayed there I wouldn't be here today everybody is entitled to a second opinion.
