50% terrible care. Lost results. Mixed advice. Little/no support from night staff. Catering staff extremely rude. Self discharged at midnight as couple opposite taking drugs (speed amphetamine). Night staff refused to move me and baby to another bed or room even though there were many empty beds and rooms. Security staff allowing man to enter the hospital repeatedly after smoking marijuana and returning to the ward with strong smell. Felt very vulnerable and unsafe. Night staff lazy, sitting on computers not helping ladies or doing the rounds. No assistance with baby and bags when trying to discharge. No follow up to complaint about drugs in the ward. Sheets not changed for 48 hours after cesarean. Night staff handed me sheets to change the bed myself 48 hours after cesarean. Doctors got me to return for baby blood tests saying they needed to be repeated on day 5. In fact, they had not carried out day 1 tests correctly so were trying to cover themselves. Doctors at bedside talking over each other when coming for different reasons e.g. hearing test, blood test, paediatrician etc chaos. Whole ward chaos. Unbearable heat (33 degrees) on hottest days of the summer. Some staff kind and caring and helpful but not consistent and too many bad factors. Would not recommend the Mulberry Ward to anyone. Theatre and staff downstairs very good. Like a different hospital!
