Share review of Weston General Hospital
I was sent to A&E by my GP. I was assessed very quickly and sent to AEC department for treatment. My husband and I were both very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of all the staff in the department. Whilst there( 5 hours) they made me feel special and that the staff were going to look after me. I had an ECG done by a friendly young nurse, bloods and observations taken by Kim who calmed my fears and a very nice clever doctor who, after a chest xray and CT Scan (here the lovely Herbert looked after me), told me I didnt have a clot on my lung but had been suffering with Pleurisy. At all times I felt the doctor and nurses were concerned about my health and were going to do their utmost to find out what the problem was and treat me. I was kept informed as to how long the wait might be etc.
Thank you to all the staff I met on friday 3rd January. You all work so hard for us.
