I visited Western Hospital for the first time when a dear friend was admitted after being taken ill at the care home he was registered. He suffers from an advanced sign of dementia and it is difficult to communicate with him. He is very confused and troubled. I am so impressed with this hospital and it's high level of care I felt bound to write this review. My friend was treated with the upmost care, dignity and concern from the moment he arrived. The staff are second to none, really caring and genuine. The standard of cleanliness, good open building makes this a very attractive building to be in. I have had a lot of experiences of hospitals and it's staff and care, Western General hospital rates very high in my opinion. I don't understand any of the negative publicity. Well done Western General keep the flag flying for the high standards as examples to many of the other hospitals within a fifty mile radius
