My mother was in for a "lumpectomy" (breast cancer surgery) and the level of care and attention she received was just astonishing. Both surgeons took the time to see and talk to her before AND after surgery and even the anaesthetist visited her as she was recuperating to see that there had been no ill effects. The ward sister was phenomenal; caring and competent in every way and even the food was first class. My father had been in a private hospital and nothing there was up to anything like as high a standard.
