Although the overall care was good I felt that the need to describe my symptoms over and over to NHS direct, GP dept, A&E doctor, doctor on ward, nurses and consultant distressing while in a lot of pain. I wasn't checked on during my first nights stay and didn't know I could use the call alarm without it being an emergency. I was moved beds twice, once in the middle of the night, which may seem a minor thing to be distressed about, but was very difficult to deal with when in so much pain (I felt disorientated and out of control). The medical staff and other support staff were very caring. I felt listened to and that I could ask questions.
