Was taking in with on going severe left sided abdominal pain and inflammation , I had to wait nearly 6 hours in a&e before taking to the ward as of many of us did as they had no beds avalible , finally getting on the ward I wasn't told what I was doing there exactly if I was staying in , tests being done nothing , absolutely nothing was told to me , my first thought of the ward was OMG terrible it was so old , dated dirty and scared for my life I was gonna leave sicker than I arrived , and being mixed with male and female I just couldent bare it it freaked me out to be on there with grunting old men the whole place was just awfull , if your scared of hospitals like me you'll hate ward f5 , anyway a doctor later came round to see me and put my pain and condition on to an on going health problem I already have with my bowels ,he did not even mention the fact that my gp suspected an appendersistis , no tests other than a blood test did I receive , no scans nothing? , so how would they no it wasn't something els or if that was the case it was my on going condition then why wasn't I offered medication of some sort to put me right, I felt like I was dying and I absolutely hate hospitals but I dragged my self there noing how seriously I felt my condition was and I was never taken serious or offered of any kind of medication? , anyway it was about 11pm at night I still at this point was never offered a glass of water food ect I'd been there for hours now hungry and thirsty and I had to tell them I've not been offered nothing to them then asking did I want a coffe I said yes please and then she practically threw a nhs sand which snake bag at me I'm not sure what sandwich was in it but it was so warm as was the yougart I couldent eat it as it would have made anyone sick as clearly wasn't kept in a fridge, Moving on anyway I was told I'm fine ????? They concluded I was fine ? And at 2am yep 2am in the morning I was in my bed and they came to tell me the surgeons say I can go home as long as I can get home I'm free to go , so as happy as I was to go home I had to ring hubby 2am in the morning to come get me, they made me feel I wasted there time where is in fact they wasted mine , and since then and only because of that bad experience I've since now gone private , and hopefully my future experiences of having to go to hospital may be a little more pleasant , hope this helps of those who would appreciate to where I'm coming from ,
