I arrived at Warwick hospital excited to give birth and left traumatised with my dignity in tatters.
I was made to feel like it was my fault and that I wasn’t trying hard enough during a difficult birth.
I was then left in blood soaked bed sheets and no one coming to my bay even when my buzzer had been ringing for over 30 minutes.
The ward was short staffed and stretched, it was dangerous. My discharge notes weren’t processed and my baby did not receive her newborn checks.
The staff were condescending (1 or 2 were fantastic but absolutely at their limit capacity wise)
Suggested improvements
Manage staffing limits. The NHS are putting lives at risk. Both my mental health and physical health are at rock bottom following the birth.
