We were at A& E fir five hours as I had a fall at home. I had broken a rib so it was good to know what to do. Also, I now have an appointment at the Frailty Clunic next week and Dr Blair is chasing up an appt with the Parkinson’s consultant.

The waiting area in Minors where I was sat had empty cans and sweet wrappers left by other patients. No one came round in the 3 hours I was there to clean up. Although the people that left the mess should have put it in the bin themselves!

I was so grateful for the excellent service you provided. I was treated with kindness and expertise by the ENT doctor and shall never take for granted the fact that I was able to roll up at the hospital without an appointment and receive great treatment. Yes I had to wait an hour or three but that is a small price to pay for the comfort of knowing that you're always there.

Great response with extensive tests after referral from GP. Phone call made to request my immediate return the day after initial tests, impressed with the speed of response, and the response of the staff to fit me into your already busy schedule.

Final check was a CT body scan . . . Advised that results available very quickly, but would be sent to the GP for feedback, also advised to contact GP after a couple of weeks to check on feedback . . . Given previous speed of feedback after tests, just seems to have put the brakes on a bit compared to providing results from previous tests.

Excellent care. Lots of waiting for test results.
Bay area for sitting could be better. It has 5 patient chairs at the mo but curtains for only 3 so patient privacy is compromised. Its ok for waiting but treatment and consultations are carried out in this corridor area. It also has a computer station so this contributes to the lack of space in the area.
No staff hand washing facilities in this area either, only hand gel so compromises cross infection policy. This area is where canulas are fitted, blood tests are taken and basic obs too. I guess not really fit for purpose but used because the department has a high throughput of patients.

My daughter age 11 attended A&E suffering from concussion. She was seen quickly and treated well by all staff who were very kind and reassuring.
