Staff were polite and made eye contact when speaking to me. I was transferred to ambulatory care from A&E having presented with a referral letter from my GP with suspected DVT on Christmas Eve. Staff thought I would be seen quicker at Ambulatory care rather than stay in A&E. I was offered pain killers after having bloods taken and blood pressure checked. Staff were professional throughout and subsequent visit for a scan and follow up to DVT clinic for repeat bloods to be taken. Although a problem arose with the loss or misplacement with the bloods resulting in a wait of over 3 hours staff kept interacting with me and were very apologetic, offering drinks and later a sandwich. The result was for me to be sent home and a telephone call promised with results. This happened a further hour and a half later but no further action needed. No sign of a clot and bloods tests one returned to normal levels the other returning in the right direction.
