Just spent 2wks on A5 ward, over Xmas & Jan, I find you have to drag any information from the doctors, who visit daily, and they don't seem to listen to your opinions, the most upsetting of staying on this ward, is the lack of sympathy or compassion from most of the nurses. Definitely not all! There were a few who did care, these seemed to be the younger ones? and would do their very best to help, but unfortunately the majority were awful! Constantly very late with meds, causing a lot of pain & stress, I would be continually be fobbed off about my meds, we're too busy, in a minute etc, but would hear them laughing & joking in the corridors, even waiting for water seemed forever! Most of the nurses were apologetic, it seems the head nurses are the worst for being uncaring, I fear they've been in the job so long, they've become very hardened and forget that we're scared and in pain. I definitely will not come back here, nor will any of my family members, just awful.
