I attended the A&E dept at Warrington on Tuesday 19 June 2018 and was seen by Dr. Tom Byrne in the Primary Care Unit, within half an hour of checking in. After some questions relating to my visit, he examined me and suggested I have a contrast ct scan to see what was going on. Unfortunately not having had one before I had an allergic reaction to the contrast and was then given meds to reverse it, the staff being on the ball and very attentive and nice. Due to this I was kept in for a 6 hour period to make sure I was ok but I had confirmed I would stay in till the next day to get the all clear to return home. I got the results of the scan and thankfully all good. Dr Byrne was really nice as were the nurses on the A&E ward, so thank you to them for all their kindness and attention making it possible for me to go home with no worries. The new system in place and which is on trial, is absolutely wonderful and I can't praise it enough and hope it will become a permanent thing.
