I gave birth to my daughter on the midwife led unit on 15th September. From the moment I arrived at the hospital I was well looked after by my midwife Ann-Marie and I achieved the calm and relaxed birth that I wanted.
The room we had on the midwife led unit was very clean and we were able to stay in this room until we were discharged from the hospital.
All of the staff that looked after us were friendly, polite and put us at ease.
Despite the labour ward being very busy this did not impact on the care that we received.
Thank you to everyone that looked after us!
Procedure completed in a timely manner which allowed a prompt return home and avoided an unnecessary overnight stay.
Had a disturbed night on 2/09/17 due to ward being short staffed (only 2 nurses on after midnight instead of 3) and the 2 that remained were too busy to deal with noisy bleeping machines that disturbed patients sleep.
Felt that my discharge on 3/09/17 was rushed and I was given little information about wound care whilst at home prior to staple removal. Also was given little information on what to expect in terms of pain once discharged. This lack of information has caused me great anxiety.
Information given about who would remove my staples was wrong. Was told to contact my GP but they do not offer this service and had to contact District Nurse service direct to make arrangements for staple removal at Jubilee Park Clinic.
Just over eight weeks ago I suffered a pre-tibial laceration. I immediately attended AED where I was seen and treated. I was given an appointment to see the consultant the following week.
As I am a member of staff it was agreed that I could have my dressings done on site and I have been attending twice a week since.
During this traumatic time, I have been treated with extreme care and efficiency. The team of ENPs in AED are fantastic and have made me feel as though I was the only person there. They are an inspiration.
I am still having treatment and it will be quite some time before my laceration has healed but I have no hesitation in recommending this Team to anyone.
on saterday when i came back for a booked time to have a dressing charged the staf sister sat a the desk for over 25 min so do things on the computer but she spent 17 min on her phone a facebook the drs just looked on if i use my phone at work a would by going though disapliner
Nurses and assistants exceptional however they are well over worked and short staffed! Appears to be more doctors than nurses that just seem to be walking around scratching their backsides!
More nurses needed
Treated 1st class from when I walked into the unit Mr Bregu the surgeon was outstanding was talking to me keeping me informed at all times of procedure and relaxed the staff on the unit went above and beyond very friendly and supportive throughout.
Yesterday I brought my wife for her pre-op examination. The treatment at the hospital was first class, however...... during my 68 years I have had to visit many hospitals throughout the UK. In my opinion Warrington is the worst signposted hospital imaginable. We are not local residents but managed to find the town centre without difficulty, fully expecting to see road signs pointing us the right direction of the hospital. Wrong! Had we wished to visit a theme park, a local night spot or museum we would have had no trouble. But the hospital? We drove around for about thirty minutes before spotting a nurse at a service station. We got directions from her; but for her we would never have found you.
Staff were so friendly and caring, l went in with a lump in a bit of an embarrassing area and was treated with nothing but care, respect and dignity, every member of staff l encountered did their utmost to put me at ease. I had an operation and an overnight stay and they were all so gentle and did theirery best to ease my pain. It really humbled me and it really struck home how important our NHS is and how we must fight to keep it. Special thanks go to the SAU and ward C20. Keep up the great work you do, and even though our joke of a government may not appreciate you, please know that you are.
All my treatment and information with the doctors and nurses in all departments i.e. A & E, DVT Department was excellent. My one and only concern was regarding the receptionist on arrival in A & E who had the no Empathy and abrupt attitude not only to myself, but to the young lady in front of me that was quite distressed. All the treatment I received was exceptional. Well done to all concerned.
