I was treated for my varicose veins using the EVLA procedure , by Mark Bratby at the Southampton Vein Centre. I cannot speak highly enough about the treatment I received. Firstly, their pricing policy is clear and transparent ( I had been quoted twice the price by a competitor for the identical procedure. ) The communication from everyone at the vein centre has been professional and efficient. I had the consultation and procedure on the same day. The process was clearly and honestly explained. Mark Bratby is very personable, professional and experienced, which gave me great confidence. My appointment was bang on time and the premises were spotlessly clean. The EVLA itself was more uncomfortable than painful. I was told to walk immediately after the process and wore compression stockings for 7 days 24/7. I was playing tennis and walking the following day with no discomfort. I chose to wear the stockings periodically throughout week 2 for extra support. I am in week 3 now and can already see a vast improvement . The veins no longer protrude and are not very visible. I have faint bruising around the veins, which is to be expected as the veins get re absorbed in to my body. Already they look much better. I would whole heartedly recommend the vein centre.
