I’m so glad I finally plucked up the courage to get my varicose veins treated, after years of struggling with symptoms and hiding my legs away. I am still going through the recovery process after having EVLA and the foam sclerotherapy and all is going well. Before the treatment, I had a consultation with Dr Regi and Dr Byott. I had a scan on my legs and the details of the condition of my varicose veins and the level of treatment required was explained to me. All of my questions were answered and there was no pressure at all to book the EVLA treatment in afterwards. I did, however, decide to book the EVLA treatment in straight after my consultation had finished. Although I found the EVLA treatment uncomfortable in parts, the significant improvement to the appearance of my legs and the symptom relief make it all worth it. I personally found parts of the EVLA procedure painful but it doesn’t last long at all. A lovely nurse, Jess, held my hand and supported me during the EVLA. Dr Regi and Dr Byott reassured me throughout and kept me informed on the progress of the procedure. I was given the choice to have a break or stop the treatment at any point if I needed to, however, I chose to persevere and it was over before I knew it. When I returned to the clinic approximately 7/8 weeks post-EVLA for the foam injections, again, the sclerotherapy was all over very quickly. This part of the treatment is relatively painless and involves tidying up some of the veins. All of the staff at the Veincentre are exceptional. They are professional, understanding, friendly and compassionate. I would highly recommend the Veincentre. The only regret I have is not going to see Dr Regi sooner.
