I first met Adam Sawyer in February 2021 in regard to completely unrelated plastic surgery to what I eventually had done...here is my story.. Since I was a pre teen, around the age of 11/12 puberty hit and as with all females my breast grew...and grew...and grew...before I knew it I was 13 and had DD cup breasts and became increasingly conscious of them. My adulthood continued and my breasts reached a K cup, I had to have my wedding dress reinforced just so that I was able to wear the dress of my dreams, I struggled to breast feed my children due to my breasts being significantly larger than their little heads and it was very stressful. Loosing weight didn’t help, the breast area didn’t particularly shrink, now aged 39 I’d had enough. My shoulders are sore, exercise was difficult, clothes shopping and bra shopping was a painful experience..! I just hated my breasts with a passion. I met Adam and instantly felt comfortable enough to broach the sensitive subject, he made me feel like I could divulge how my large breasts were making me feel and talked me through the procedure, in a heartbeat before I’d even left the consultation I knew I wanted a reduction and that Adam was the surgeon for me. I didn’t “shop around” I just knew, my gut feeling was a good one. Fast forward 3 months to May 2021 and my surgery day was here!! Adam knew my intentions, knew that I wanted to be around a D cup and that I wanted a pair of manageable breasts that were in proportion to my body. I arrived at the BMI Winterbourne Hospital in Dorchester at 7am with a tummy full of nerves and a heart full of excitement. Adam came into see me shortly after to talk me through the procedure once again and map out my new breasts ready for surgery! I was taken to theatre at around 9.45am and woke at 1.10pm (I think!!) 1 stone lighter after a mammoth reduction. Surgery went well, I was sleepy and sore for a few days but things started becoming slightly easier each day. I am now just over 5 weeks post op and am pretty much back to my normal routine, still taking it easy but feeling on top of the world. My new breasts are everything I could have imagined and more, the perfect size for me, neat wounds / scars and I feel like a new person. Adam was kind, compassionate and caring with a great sense of humour. I admire his work ethic and it is evident from those that work with Adam that he is highly admired within the industry and the hospitals he consults within. I am so unbelievably happy that I walked into Adams consultation room all those months ago, he really has changed my life for for the better and for anyone contemplating a breast reduction I highly recommend Adam Sawyer.

I wish to give a bit thank you to ALL the staff at the Winterbourne. I was made to feel welcome and relaxed from the moment I arrived. Your care and constant attention gave me confidence to face my operation and helped speed my recovery..

I had knee replacement surgery on 13th May 2019. Paying private fees I expected a little luxury but there was none, bland room not even pictures on walls . No tissues by bed in fact nothing at all to help you. Theatre staff and surgeon were brilliant catering and cleaning staff were excellent. Night nursing staff (especially Gary) were very caring and always appeared to help whenever I pushed bell. Gary always kept the pain relief available . Not so with the day time staff , they were not good at giving out pain relief and I was always having to ask for it . The drug round only seemed to go around once and if you missed your drug you had to wait hours for the nurses to return. And giving paracetamol was not good enough to help e tremendous pain so had to ask for something stronger and then had to wait .again. They always made me feel I was a nuisance . The only nurse who listened and helped was called Helen . I have had two operations at DCH an NHS hospital and felt a lot safer and cared for there . Very disappointing for a private hospital made to wait

I had a total hip replacement on 31/05/2018. My surgeon was a Mr Paul Porter. I cannot praise this man highly enough he was fantastic. From my initial examination and his way of explaining my situation and the procedures that would follow. He had a calm very relaxed manner at all times and I felt very safe in his hands. I was in for three nights and if I did not see him in person every day he rang to enquire my progress. This is pure dedication to a job he loves. The nurses were very professional and king willing to do anything for you. The food was superb and hot the staff and chief in the Kitchen also get my thanks. The after care has been really good too which is down to the ladies in the physio department. It is now 7 weeks I am doing great and feel great. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT WINTERBOURNE HOSPITAL
