Saying "very good" in the first response is an understatement. "Fantastic" would be more like it. In your list of questions, there is an important one missing: "How would you rate the quality with which your procedure was carried out?" Again, that was fantastic.

Suggested improvements
Nothing to say.

Review of Medical Day Unit (Chelsea) written by a patient

I will recommend to family and friends. Thank you all making me feel like I was getting the best care, whenever I come to day care at RMS. Thanks to all doctors and nurses for making me feel safe, pain and stress free. There’s small suggestions but just maybe, whenever there’s any delay if doctors can inform the patients that will help. Sometimes patient have to wait longer than usual, those cases RMS can have a corner where patients can hangout, such a computer or laptop would be useful.

Because this fine RT team displayed total professionalism & humanity, the Marsden can justifiably be very proud of these people.

Inevitably, some bowel and bladder symptoms manifest during the 33 sessions of RT to the prostate. I found Nurofen patches overnight helped in reducing inflammation and taking Nurofen 2 hours before treatments helped with keeping as full as possible through the latter stages. Also probiotics continue to help with bowel symptoms as I continue recovery. In addition the homeopathic remedy Radium Bromatum 30.

Review of Burdett Coutts written by a patient
15th September 2020

I was a very difficult patient with regards to pain due to a rare and complex pain syndrome and everyone went the extra mile with helping me in this respect. Cancer is bloody awful, the treatments are awful, and the symptoms are awful, but you still somehow made me feel blessed to be under your care. The amazing souls on Burdett Coutts ward in particular have definitely earned a special place in my heart and memories and I will forever be in your debt. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of me.

Suggested improvements

Every member of staff with whom I came into contact were superb. In the event of any query they could not have been more helpful or considerate and if I needed assistance to find my way round they would accompany me and not just give directions. Their empathy and support at all times were exemplary!

I have nothing but praise for everyone involved in my Radiotherapy treatment. Problems I encountered during treatment were addressed and resolved in a sympathetic and understanding manner, without causing me any feeling of inadequacy or embarrassment. Additionally I found that any request for help was handled in an efficient and timely manner. What I had anticipated as a difficult course of treatment became a pleasant experience. Thank you sincerely to all involved.

Suggested improvements
I can not think of anything that could have been better. Even when problems occurred with equipment, delays in treatment were minimal, and operators (nurses) were wonderful.

Very professional service throughout by all staff - it felt a very personal service

Suggested improvements
I think clearly signposting the particular radiotherapy machine name to the respective inner waiting area would be useful - not that by asking the very friendly staff did not immediately solve the directions...
