I have been discharged today having spent an overnight stay on the ward for a minor procedure yesterday under general anesthetic. The personnel all the way from the receptionists, cleaners, catering staff, porters, nurses up through the anesthetist team and finally the surgeons have been exceptional and are a credit to themselves and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

Suggested improvements
The ward feels a little bit like a converted corridor, it's a little cramped and disorderly in the way it is laid out. The main view from my particular bed was the wards patient toilet and shower door, which was quite rightly busy a lot of the time. This wasn't great with me being in recovery and trying to get some rest :-)
